Arrange and confirm your removal date as far in advance as possible. Prepare a list of fixtures you are leaving.

• Dismantle self-assembly furniture, we can do this for you if you prefer 
• Arrange for disconnection of kitchen appliances
• Make sure you have read the gas, electricity, telephone and water meters 
• If moving in or out of a block of flats, if possible arrange to have the override key for the lift 

• At 9.30 am contact your solicitor/conveyancer and estate agent to remind them you are moving house.

• If you are completing on the day of your move it could be a long day so be prepared.

• Valuables and important items such as passports and driving licences should be kept with you.

• Before the removal van departs, check nothing has been forgotten.

• Ensure that we have directions to your new property and a phone number to contact you.

• Agree a time of arrival.
